Shoppping and I have a love/hate relationship. I love to shop when I have purchasing power in my purse. I hate to shop when I don’t. Which means I don’t like to Window Shop. I can remember going out with my mom “window shopping” when I was a girl. If you aren’t shopping for windows, don’t bother window shopping. That’s my thought on that subject. Today I went phone shopping with my daughter. She’s pregnant with her first baby (a girl) and we are missing each other, what with her in Portland, Oregon and me recently re-located to Nashville, Tennessee. Enter…The Smart Phone.
We were able to go to different malls across the country, into the same stores, and look at the same cute, little baby clothes. And Christmas stuff (are you KIDDING?). It wasn’t the same, but we did have fun. Maybe because there were no windows involved…just a messaging back and forth with photos of dresses and sweaters and advent calendars. 
It was nice shopping with her. We’ll do it again. Maybe next time we can have coffee, too.
Whimsy and Such... 
What a great way to enjoy this experience. I think we definitely have to do lunch by way of iphones. We won’t appear rude, only odd, taking all of those pictures of food and messaging them off to each other.
Let me know when you want to get together. You can go to St. Honore and I can see if I can’t find someplace as cool as that! Maybe I should start looking… 😉
Oh my gosh, this brought tears to my eyes, but I’m glad you had this shopping experience together.
I only take photos of my food if I think you’ll like it, Candy. I do it quickly hoping no one will see me and then I worry that I did it too quickly and didn’t pay enough attention to the composition of the photo. So I take another shot and another and then I worry that my food is getting cold. I haven’t graduated to carrying my plate across the room to get the best light…yet. LOL!
